The Core

For The Core, Hammerhead Productions was asked to help create the destruction of Rome. Hammerhead supervisor Jamie Dixon worked with Greg McMurray of the production to design and realize this dramatic sequence. Two major landmarks, the Vittorio Emanual building and the Coliseum were slated for destruction, of course using the magic of visual effects. A combination of miniature photography and computer generated elements were combined with live action plates shot on location to create the illusion.
